then inesrt it into the xbox 360 console you will be asked to enter your consoles serial number
then it formats it

I tried that method with 4 different hard drives (20gig, 40gig, 60gig, and 120gig) and it did not work. I tried to plug it in after formatting via usb and the hdd slot on the 360 and neither worked. The fat32 format program worked and showed fat32 and everything I even searched for another program to do it, and it worked but still wont show on the 360.

Or you can just buy an off-brand one on amazon for pretty cheap, despite what some people say mine has worked for about a year no problems.
