Ok so i followed the sticky guides and they didn't work. im using a usb until i get my hdd. can it still work?

You can still do it but the USB would have to be fairly big.

When you go to install make sure you push the DVD drive in manually then hit confirm, if the problem still consists it's probably a scratched disk or your DVD drive isn't spoofed.

If you can't get it to work I would recommend downloading the game and just extracting the files and moving them to the USB.

Before you do anything, what is the size of your USB GB Cap capacity?

The size or your USB will have to be over 7GB

If xex menu doesn't install it then install it in FSD (Free Style Dash)

having the same issue accept i am trying to install it straight from the mw2 disk just keeps cancelling at 75% on xexmenu and on free style dash it wont even start, any ideas ?

is the game scratched? check the condition of the Disc before installing.

its a wee bit scratched but it is still playable with no problems on live etc
