Release Date: 10 October 2008
Developers: Artix Entertainment
Publishers: Artix Entertainment
Platforms: Browser, Adobe Flash Player
Genre: MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game)
Players: Multiplayer
Rating (ESRB): E10+ (Everyone ages 10 and up)

Synopsis:

AQWorlds is a massively multiplayer role-playing game that plays right inside your web browser. There is no software to download or install -- and this MMO is FREE! Battle monsters in real-time RPG combat alongside your friends.

Story:

In the beginning of the story a doom knight named Sepulchure and his army invade the kingdom of Swordhaven. King Alteon and Sepulchure start fighting in the Kings throne room, Darkrath interrupts the battle and kills Sepulchure. He explains to the king about his plans to unleash the 13 lords of chaos apon the lands. Afterwards King Alteon and Sepulchures daughter decide to make a truce between good and evil so they can stop Darkrath. After you watch the cut scene explaining this the game starts. In the story you have to travel the lands of lore and help stop Darkraths plans to take over the land. You will do everything necessary to do so. You will have to defeat all 13 lord of chaos to stop Darkrath. The story is amazing because of how big it is. I've been playing the game for 3 months and am no where near the end. Also new quests and areas in the game are added on usually on Wednesday and Friday. The story line is funny, interesting, original and one of my favorites.

Story Rating: 10/10

Gameplay

The game play is addictive and extremely fun. Completing challenges, fighting monsters and fighting bosses is fun when your alone and even more fun with other players. The game has 17 servers that almost always have 300 or more players on each one. Certain servers are more popular then the others and will have like 1500-3000 players in them during busy hours. I tend to play in the less popular servers when doing small quests that I don't need help on and play in the popular servers when I need help defeating something because in the popular servers their seems to always be someone on the same quest as you. Each room in the game has 9999 different sub-servers of that same room. For example if I was in Battleon-1 if I typed in /join Battleon-9999 I would be transported to that room. Usually players use this to get into rooms where their isn't any other players so they can play alone or just with their friends. I've met a lot of cool people in the game that helped e out with tons of quests. You have a friends list in the game and can host or join party's. The good thing about having a party with the players your completing quests with is so you can see their health, mana, ect. and know if they're in trouble. In the game you will can equip classes, armors, weapons, helms, capes and pets. Each of these things can be upgraded to your level to make them stronger. You will level your player as well as your players classes through the game. Each class has 4 spells that can be used in battle. If you combine the right set of equipment, class spells and strategy, killing monsters and bosses will be a lot less difficult. Some items, areas and quests are only accessible if you are a member. Membership is a monthly fee but you can purchase cards. In my opinion membership is worth every penny. You get way more out of the game and it makes it a lot more enjoyable. The gameplay in this game is unique and I think you guys will enjoy it a lot.

Gameplay Rating: 10/10

Graphics:

The graphics are drawn by many professional artists. The whole game is in 2D which in this case I prefer to 3d. The graphics are extremely clean and smooth in the game. The only time they lag or get pix-elated is when the server experiences some lag, or the user is lagging. The armors, weapons, helms, capes, pets, monsters, npc's, and areas in the game all look original and nice. I love the graphics in this game and the way everything looks together. You can tell the artists put a lot of time in to making this game look the best they can.

Graphics Rating: 10/10

Controls:

The controls are very simple because it's a point and click game. You click where you want your character to go on the screen/map and he goes there. You double click monsters to attack them. You can learn the what each key on your keyboard can do in the game but it is not necessary and doesn't help you besides making things easier to get to. You should get used to the controls in your first days of playing. They are not difficult or complicated

Controls Rating: 9/10

I would start out in the green guard area. If you ever see the chance to fight something other people are already fighting then jump in! Get some extra XP! :

I find this game so fun, I've been playing it since 08 and haven't got bored of it at all. There is so much to do because the AE (Artix entertainment) staff are dedicated.

I used to play this game a fair bit then gave my account to my cousin.

I got member a couple of times and got to level 20.. It was good times playing this with my brother and my friends. I was 10-13 when i was into it.

Anyone of a younger age audience i recommend this to. It seems abit wierd once you get older because you can just tell that you are 3 years older than everyone else on the game. Never the less it is fun if you can ignore that aspect.

Great review Wake.
