if i install the modded cd on one hard drive an i put it on a different xbox will the mods still work?

your doing nothing to the xbox, your installing it to the harddrive, so all you need is the harddrive

I dont think they do.

I remember trying this like 2 years ago with a friend. When you install the ISO it basically recognizers your hard drive and DVD drive, so if you try it on a different xbox the menu dont work.

I cant really remember so i am not 100% sure

when you install a game on a xbox it only works on that xbox. if u plug it into your friends it will say it only works on the xbox you installed it to
