Not bad for a first but the lighting is pretty bad and there isn't much going on. Sometimes smudging can be the only thing on a tag but not in all cases, don't be afraid to throw some other stuff in there.

If you don't have "Other Dynamics" In the brush options, Don't freak because you only need to put what he showed. Basically just do what he does, And put your imagination to the test! Just mess around with different renders, And such. And I bet you will make what you've been wanting to make. (:
