So we all know their is a new Call of Duty in development.


Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - Infinity Ward (2007)

Call of Duty: World at War - Treyarch (2008)

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Infinity Ward (2009)

Call of Duty: Black Ops - Treyarch (2010)

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - Infinity Ward (2011)

The next Call of Duty game is to be made by Treyarch.

As of now, their is not much news. What we do know at this time is that there is defiantly a Call of Duty 9 being worked on, and it is defiantly going to be a Treyarch game. How do we know this? Well for starters, their has been a new Call of Duty every year for more than 5 years, and if Infinity Ward made the last one the Treyarch will be making the next one. Also, it has basically been confirmed by David Vonderhaar (Treyarch Game Design Director)

Another Call of Duty: Black Ops leak! This time, it seems to be the official logo for Treyarchs upcoming Call of Duty title, Black Ops 2, including a potential release date for its debut trailer. Call of Duty 9 has suffered a number of leaks recently, including confirmation of its name, Black Ops 2, along with a release date as well as some multiplayer information that we got a hold of earlier. This time, YouTuber CoDInform was able to catch what looks to be Black Ops 2s logo which weve included above as the featured image. Three reasons it could possibly be legitimate: First, it looks professional; Second, it was removed from the official Call of Duty website upon discovery; Third, if you look at the date in this image, 04.28.12, it happens to be the exact date of two years earlier that the original Black Ops reveal trailer was released. On top of this, the original URL linking to this image read [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] , which happens to be a similar URL used for Modern Warfare 3 images: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] . If it does turn out to be fake, at least this one was rather well researched. So, props to whoever created it. If it is real, expect a reveal trailer of Black Ops 2 this month on the 28th!

The most common myth about the next Call of Duty going around is the "Iron Wolf" myth. Many people believe that the next Call of Duty will be called Call of Duty: Iron Wolf. This, along with the Iron Wolf website, has been proven FALSE by David Vonderhaar.

The above image is believed to be the official Call of Duty 9 logo. The YouTuber "CoDInform" discovered this. Why does this seem very believable? It is believed it came from this link, and this link is an official Call of Duty link: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] It is said now that Call of Duty removed it upon discover. Whether or not it really did come from that link is unknown, but hopefully we find out soon so we can prove this correct, or, if not, bust the myth.

Reveal Trailer! (NOT YET BUSTED)

Just like the official Call of Duty 9 logo, this so called "release date" came from (or is said to come from) the official Call of Duty website, but was not yet meant to be discovered. Link here: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] And it is said to be removed upon discovery. It is not yet known if it actually did come from that link, but many people believe it is. As soon as we find out if it is a busted myth, or true, I will update this.

GAME MODES: Whats in and out. (NOT YET BUSTED/CONFIRMED)

So there has been a lot of talk on game modes in Call of Duty 9. There are rumors about what game modes are in and what game modes are being removed. This is at the moment, unknown whether it is true or false.

NEW GAME MODE - Escort
The aim of this apparent new game mode, is to escort a certain player on your team to a certain location of the map, WITHOUT them dying. Unlike Search and Destroy, where if they die they will just drop the bomb. (It is unknown how the player will be selected at this stage, but it will most likely be like Search and Destroy where they must pick up a bomb of some sort) If they do die - The round/game will be over.

Dropzone
This game mode, first introduced in Modern Warfare 3, is said to return for the next Call of Duty.

Kill Confirmed
The much loved Kill Confirmed game mode is also set to return to the next Call of Duty.

Infected
It is said that Infected will NOT be in the next Call of Duty.

Team Defender
Like Infected, is not believed to be returning. (Who cares, it sucked anyway) (My opinion)

Capturing of flags in domination. (NOT YET BUSTED/CONFIRMED)

The information that is going around at the moment is that when capturing a Neutral flag (No teams have captured it yet) You will get ONE point toward your pointstreak. (Yes, I said it, it is also going around that point streaks will be in the game). But when capturing and enemy flag, you will get TWO points towards your point streaks. So basically you get more points if you take a harder to get flag!
