Hey guys, my birthday is coming up soon and I have decided to build myself a computer as a present to myself. Here are the specs:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 960T Black Edition (going to overclock)

Graphics Card: HIS HD 6570 1GB GDDR3 IceQ edition

RAM: Corsair XMS3 8GB DDR3-1600

PSU: Thermaltake TR2 Series 500W

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT AM3+

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB 7200RPM

Please tell me your thoughts and any improvements I could make. Thanks you and keep in mind, This is a budget build! Thanks.

You have forgot a case and dvd drive, plus you really should stretch your budget to afford maybe 6850 or lowest 6770 because with the one you are using 6570 is pretty low quality already

Edit: switch your case with Antec 300 case

@Code I forgot to mention that I am using an old DVD drive from an old computer that I have, and how much is the cheapest version of the 6770?

A Asus 6770 is 114$ [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

with the 6770 on skyrim you could get around 35-45fps so for the price it isn't bad compared the 6570 which would be 20-30fps

Looking at my budget again, the total cost for the first build was 350. I found a XFX 6770 for $100 from my local Micro Center. I think I might go with this instead! Would you consider the 6770 equivalent to a Nvidia GTX 550 Ti?

the 550 ti is better but for the same price as 550 ti the 6790 is slightly better [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

You don't need to upgrade if you don't want to, if your not going to be playing battlefield 3 then the 6770 should perform great!

On the desktop I built for my family, we are running a 550 Ti and that gives us great performance so I was just wondering how the 6770 will compare so I can get an idea how good it is.
