I haven't been on Xbox for a few months and before my headset was fine, until last friday when I went on and I plugged in my x11's the green light wouldn't show, and whenever I plug my mic in it makes a really annoying noise, anyone know what's wrong?

Do neither the red or green light work, or is it just the green?

Have you tried un-plugging it then plugging it back in?

How about turning it off then back on?

So many people trying to help yet they don't even know how the headset works :/

If it won't power on, the USB plug has a problem. Try it oall Xbox/PS3 ports and if nothing happens try on a PC.

If it doesn't turn on using any of them, the plug is damaged.
