You'd still need to have the disk even if it's flashed...
You can play games without the disks in xexmenu. You just need to put the ISO on your harddrive.
then whats the point of getting your dvd drive flashed? when i buy my RGH i want to make sure that i can play games without a disk and download games for free
Getting it flashed makes it so it can read backups of games. I don't know if RGHing it can bypass that.

Right now, the console has Microsofts firmware on the drive, it makes it so it can read licensed discs. If you tried to play a backup, it wouldn't work.
Flashing modifies that so it reads the backup games.
Now RGH and JTAG consoles can run new dashboards and stuff, I don't know if those can automatically read burned games or if you still need to flash it.
You could just get ISO's, put them on a USB harddrive or something and use that with your RGH.

Alright thanks for explaining it more. So basically what your saying is if i want to play lets say GTA IV i could just download the IOS and put it onto a USB then into my xbox(xexmenu) and play it without needing the disk.

Would just like to add on to this and say that the point of having your rgh's drive flashed would be so that if you dual(or triple) boot nands and one of them is stock(allowing you to go online) you can play your burned games online and then you can just play your iso's from your usb when your on the rgh nand
