For me it lasted about a week, but when you just go to get them tightened only lasts about 2-3 days. Honestly you get used to them, the metal brackets you get do rub on your cheeks and hurt for the week after you get them, but you do get used to them after that. And make sure if you have any annoying wires poking out the end catching on your cheeks you go and get them clicked off and the orthodontist and they get very annoying.

A few days at most. I have braces and it sucks when I get that feeling on my teeth. Hope i helped.

they will only hurt for 3-4 days and then you get used to them
