I used to hotswap all the time but then got out of the game. I just made a new motionflex v1 disc and when i try hotswapping it it says that the disk is dirty and unreadable no matter if i install it or try to just play it. Any thoughts or anyone have experience with this kind of thing?

Has it got any scratches on the disc? Did you burn it correctly? Has it got any finger marks on the disc?

If you can install the game than you can hotswap just fine. Haha, But you probably have a bad patch as stated above or you have a bad game download..
Other post kinda knocked that out of the park. Um, bad DVD drive.
What speed did you burn the discs on and what brand discs did you use?

But thats what I dont understand i tried 2 different patches and 2 different isos
and one of my old isos that used to work perfectly fine now will not work

Memorex and yes I did
and dont tell me memorex is bad discs i know they are not great but they have always worked for me in the past
speed was 2X
