so if i want to play online with my jtag, do i have to use kai link to host xp lobbies?

No, you will nead to load the patch up on your JTAG in system link, then get your retail xbox to join, then infect your retail xbox with the mods, no need for Kai. P.S, you cant go online with a JTAG.
