The-Kush-Ops wrote but i think the other mobo is an opusIt doesn't matter. A capacitor is just a capacitor. It works on any electronic component not just a certain one. It holds no specific memory that keeps it from working on other products.

Only thing I can think of that would do that would not relate to the capacitor. A capacitor stores charge when being supplied with a voltage and releases it when put into a circuit without one. Basically it saves you from using too much power by slowing it down and saves you electricity. Basically, I doubt that's what is causing your problem but if it's burnt pout I advise you change it.

i previously jtaged this xbox then i flashed wrong image (orig.bin) and i was back to jtagable and the xbox was working so i soldered the lpt cable and dripped solder and melt the capictor beside the lpt points and then after the cord was all soldered in i tryed turning it on and it wouldnt power up so i just went ahead and wrote xbr.bin and was getting errors programming blocks

You need to clean and fix that and you should be fine.

The-Kush-Ops wrote wait what do yhou mean exactly? You said the xbox won't boot up after you dripped solder on the capacitor. Clean that off and repair the cap (capacitor) and you should be good.
