Hello, I'm here to shed some light on the secret organization known as Tacitus.
Publius Tacitus was a Senator and Historian during the ancient days of Rome. He wrote a lot about eclipses and it is believed after his death a solar eclipse occurred the next day. Eclipses were often referenced and used in Treyarch's "Zombie" mode.
Tacitus was originally a "Data Gaming" company conveniently owned by Activision, but was shut down on 12.29.09 (Dec. 29th)
Recently, a video from the "FPS Russia" Youtube account that is part of Treyarch's viral marketing campaign shows Tacitus in the form of apparel and the website Tacitus.com gets updated. Although there is no confirmation that Tacitus is related to the development of Treyarch's upcoming project, it is hinted strongly based on the videos "tags."
Once again, Tacitus.com gets updated revealing 2 lines of white text. One reads "Tacitus Project, 2012. All rights reserved." The other reads "Black Ops 2: Weapons Manufacturer in the game. Not us." This confirms that Tacitus is somewhat involved in Treyarch's next project.

While not related to Tacitus, anyone notice "Woods" (one of the main characters from Black Ops) was one of the tags in the video? If you went into the terminal in the Black Ops main menu it did say he survived.
