So I just found out about the midnight game and I read someone's story of when they tried it and I got scared just reading it. I'm way to much of a "scaredy cat" to do anything by myself so a few of my friends and I want to do something like that. We wanted to do the midnight game but we figured it would be too hard with having parents sleeping. We are going to do whatever sounds the best in the basement because it is way creepier than anywhere else so we aren't very limited to what we can do. Does anyone know something we could do that isn't really stupid like a oujia board?

P.S. I know stuff like this isn't supposed to actually be scary but your mind plays tricks on you, especially if you are exhausted.

EDIT: We don't want anything with like electronics or stuff. The basis of the midnight game is the darkness and you have a candle so your mind creates scary things out of shadows and outlines of furniture etc., so we want to do something similar.

Ingest a high amount of Diphenhydramine and let your mind do the rest of the work.

Stare at something until you visualize it turning into a monster.

When I was young, I thought the scariest thing to do in the dark was to say the bloody mary thing, did it later on, it doesn't do anything.

Yeah Bloody Mary didn't really scare me when I tried it. I talked to my friend and we decided we will probably do the midnight game but modify it a little bit like knocking on his basement door instead of his outside door.
