Well actually the real reason deja vu happens is because...

Your brain it good at remembering objects as a whole, but not the arrangement of objects. For instance let's say you walk into a restaurant and the chairs and tables are similar to ones you've seen before. You will think you might have been there before but you haven't.

Deja vu is just an extreme reaction of your brain that is telling you, you have been in a similar situation before.

Deja vu is hard to study and there are many thoeries out there... That make a lot more sense than yours lol

deja vu is when your brain either replay's similar moments, causing you to feel you done/been/had this happen to you before. Or, where your brain get's a though/image/scene, before your sight/Sensory image's catch it thus causing the feeling of you having this happen before.
