I bought an iPhone 4 from my friend and he said he found it. the service is verizon. I was wondering if i could activate the iPhone for my Verizon Service.

Try and get it factory unlocked from them. they should do it for free.

take the sims card out first of all so the real owner cant have it tracked. restore to to factory settings take it to verizon say you bought it from a friend but you dont have the sims card,buy the sims card then pay for the service on it.

What a stupid, selfish idea. Imagine if it was your iPhone you lost? You'd expect a person to be reasonably decent and attempt to contact the owner. I once found a phone so I opened up contacts called their dad and i got 20 for doing so. A little decency is what society lacks! jerk..
