Got him played 2 games got 2 goals, both 30 yards plus, he is awesome.
To be fair, he is the best midfielder in the world ;);)
Lawl.
Gerrard would come around fourth or fifth in the best midfielders in the world.
I was joking mate, in his prime, even though I am a Liverpool fan and bound to be a bit biased, i'd still say he was the best.
Now? On his way out of the game. Still a legend.
Don't get me wrong, Gerrard is/was an absolute legend. He's been my favorite player ever since I learned and understood football... and I'm an Arsenal fan. Although, in his prime I still don't think he's as good as Xavi, Iniesta or Fabregas. Although scores more goals than all of them.
Debatable, Xavi and Iniesta are legends at Barca, still got nothing on players like Maradona, Platini and Zidane

Well, it's debatable again. Maradona was a winger... So he scored more goals than either of them. Personally, I don't think you can judge players in their different positions. I mean, I wouldn't compare Ronaldo to John Terry as that's just fxcking stupid...
But, in around 30-40 years, Xavi will be known as the greatest playmaker in history.

I'm surprised, someone on this forum actually talks sense!
In actuality, Maradona played anywhere as an attacking mid, his legendary goal against england came through the middle

Well yeah, he was a free-roaming winger as it were.
Who would you have in your all time starting 11? Mine would probably be:
GK: Gordan Banks.
LB: Roberto Carlos.
CB: Beckenbauer.
CB: Bobby Moore.
RB: Gary Neville.
CM: Zico.
CM: Zidane.
CM: Cantona.
LW: Ronaldo.
ST: Pele.
RW: Messi.

Not too much national pride in there, none at all in fact, but it's my 11 and I'm sticking to it
