I would.

We don't need spammers here, what we need is change.

In all honesty, any amount of enforcement isn't going to change the General Discussion, it is doomed forever. New people are always going to join and disregard the rules completely, it's an endless cycle. You get rid of one spammer, another one joins. IP banning everyone that spams will make everything worse, it will give a bad outlook on the staff from members.

I would say just get rid of General Discussion, so people would be forced to post in correct sections. But, this could also lead to the spreading of spam, right now it is all contained in the GD, but people might seek other sub-forums to spam in, which could cause a lot of tedious forum hopping. What you could do is add a list of rules that one must read AND AGREE TO in order to be able to post in the General Discussion, and if they read those rules, and then break them, they could receive a ban. Don't make it an announcement, make it a pop-up prompt, so people would HAVE to notice it. Then, nobody can say "I DIDN'T C TEH ANNOWNSCMENT!!!1!!1111!!2020"

I know nobody is going to read this, I just figured I'd post my thoughts.

If a person disobeys and continues to disobey the rules, Then they should not be allowed to be on the site. I personally do not understand what is the big deal about post count. For instance if I really cared about post count I would probably be a 10k elite. But I care about giving people positive reinforcement, and great feedback. All these spam topics should, and need to stop. I am fed up with making a topic asking for assistance, or feedback and it getting burried by spam.

I agree.

:trollin: Go ahead and IP ban me. Changing an IP is as easy as unplugging your modem for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in.

I totally agree with you.

I liked the 'staff are corrupt' part. They are corrupt because they enforce the rules. That is what they should be doing.

And personal attacks...that's just 12 year old children.

Well it's a shame people go as far as threatening you for being banned on a website. If it so much of their life that they will rage than maybe it was for their own good. And if they can't do the time, they shouldn't do the time. I re-read the rules every once and a while just because I don't want to leave the community and break rules and get banned. This is a great community but it needs to open up more. It needs forums to let people post how their day was, or let people give advise to someone in need. All I'm trying to say is open up the community a little more and let people express themselves in a mature way.

So you banned people and then you do exactly what they did?
