If you want an nVidia card (GeFore GTX) then you might want to go with a high end Intel i3 (No older than 2120) or i5 processor. But if you're going with ATI/AMD Mobo, processors then I suggest a Radeon video card. I just installed a HIS Radeon 6870 card in my rig and I love it. Not super powerful, but I run DC Universe / WoW and other MMOs High/Ultra graphics with no problem.

Yeah, I would suggest swapping the GTX 550 to a 6850. Other changes I would make would get 1600Mhz RAM, DVD drive instead of blu-ray and get a different power supply. Swapping the blu-ray to a DVD drive will give you enough to get the 1600Mhz RAM and a 600W power supply from a reliable manufacturer such as Corsair. Finally, the HDD is very slow, I'd suggest spending an extra $40 or 40 GBP on a 7200 rpm HDD, get it from Samsung still. Apart from that it would be a good build, would be able to play the games mentioned at high settings and get reasonable FPS. The only problem would be that it will be over your original budget but it is worth spending that extra 100-200 ($ or GBP) on a PC that will last you for a while.

I wouldn't recommend a GTX 550, if your on a budget you might want to look into ATI cards there generally not as good as Nvidia cards but you get a lot more for your money.

If not maybe look at a GTX 560, 570.
