My friend bought a Acer laptop but it was junk (I told him not to get it...) after a while the charging cable decayed internally and became useless so he convinced his parents to budget him $600 for a desktop and asked me to find a nice build. I realized that I might be able to save him some money if I were to apply the OEM copy of win7 on his now unused and probably to be trashed laptop to his new build but I don't know if it is completely possible. If it is possible I would prefer using a win7 installation disk issued by MS and not a specific distributor like dell or acer so I can get as little bloatware as possible and if I torrent a copy of win7 it wont be illegal because I own a valid serial key right? What is the likelihood of convincing MS to send me installation disks?
