-Mobs may spawn while you're sleeping. To help with this, Place dirt covering your front doors while you're sleeping, It's always worked for me.
-Dungeons will appear as pig spawners, even though they spawn aggressive mobs.
__________________________________________________________________________________

Creeper
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
-They move silently except on Sand or Gravel.
-When they get within one block of the player they hiss for 1.5 seconds, then they blow up.
-If you can get a Skeleton to shoot the Creeper and kill it it will drop a Music Disc.
-If a Creeper gets struck by lightning during a storm, it gains a blue glow, and the explosion radius is doubled.
-Spawn at night but aren't burned by sunlight.
-Drops gunpowder, used for making TNT.

__________________________________________________________________________________

Skeleton
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
-Skeletons are hard to fight. They wield a bow and arrow and are a real scare.
-You're going to want to move around it in a circle, jumping to avoid his arrows. Then go in for the kill.
-if a Skeleton kills a Creeper, the creeper will drop a music disc, playable in a jukebox.
-Burn in direct sunlight
-Drops arrows(0-2), and bones(0-2)

__________________________________________________________________________________

Spider
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
-In the xbox 360 version, the spider's attack range is further(will most likely be fixed).
-If you stand behind a "window" that is one block in width, the spider won't be able to attack you.
-Spiders can climb, try making a lip on your roof, from wooden/stone stairs. Looks nice, and effective.
-Don't burn in direct sunlight, but during the day they don't attack you unless you attack them.
-Drops string, used for making fishing poles, and bows.

__________________________________________________________________________________

Zombie
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
-Zombies are a weak aggressive mob that spawn at night or in unlit areas.
-Burn in direct sunlight
-Drop feathers, which can be used for arrows.

__________________________________________________________________________________

Spider Jockey
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
-A Spider has a 1% chance to spawn with a Skeleton rider.
-Has the ranged arrow attack of a Skeleton plus the vision, agility, and wall-climbing ability of a Spider.
-if the Spider is killed, the Skeleton will continue to attack and move, and vice-versa.
-Has the health of both of the mobs put together.

^^Creds to TTGjansport For letting me know that these were in this^^
__________________________________________________________________________________

Wolf
[spoil] [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
-Wolves can be tamed. They will gain a collar(as shown in the picture) when tamed.
-Taming a wolf may take between 1 and 11 bones(obtained from skeletons).
-While a tamed wolf is at your side, if you attack anything but a creeper, your wolf will help you fight.
-A wolf's health is determined by his tail height. The higher the tail, the more health he has.
-You can feed your wolf using raw porkchops.
-If you attack an untamed wolf, all wolves in the area's eyes will turn red, and they'll all attack you.
-Drop nothing

__________________________________________________________________________________

Chicken
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
-Chickens are passive mobs that first appeared in Alpha mode.
-Chickens lay Eggs every 5-10 minutes, and when killed drop 0-2 Feathers.

General Tips
-Never dig down. You can fall into things like caves, ravines, or even lava.
-Always remember where your home is.
-Leave a trail of torches in caves, so you know where you've already been.
-You can place wolves near the entrance to your cave system, so when you're lost, you'll be able to listen for the wolf.

When you're just starting out, you're going to want to(in order):
-Obtain 3 blocks of uncut wood.
-Cut the wood
-Make a crafting bench, 4 sticks, and use the rest to make a wooden axe.
-from then on, cut wood.
-When you are at 32 wood blocks, when crafted you will have 128 blocks of wood.
-Build a house.

-Try using a furnace to make charcoal, then make torches from it.
-Charcoal - Made in furnace - Recipe: Ingredient - Uncut Wood; Fuel - Cut Wood.

Dungeon(s)
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Dungeons are small rooms made of Cobblestone and Moss Stone that contain a hostile Mob Spawner and up to 2 Chests. Finding a dungeon without a chest is very unlikely, but possible. Dungeons will have zombie, skeleton, and spider spawners that can easily be deactivated by placing a torch on them. They can be destroyed but cannot be picked up, so placing a torch on them is more useful in that they can be used to make xp grinders. Dungeons are currently the only place where Moss Stone can be found in a natural map. Anyone exploring a cavern should be wary of encountering a dungeon, as they are almost always connected to large caverns, and are very dangerous. Dungeons do exist on peaceful mode, as they are generated with the map. Monster Spawners will still spawn mobs in peaceful mode, but the mobs will instantly despawn.
