I see a lot of topics regarding gold giveaways and they are almost always targeted for a specific group of people. Such as people who know how to decode coding or people who have the most rep points or most posts, someone who can guess a puzzle, etc.

How does that make someone a better choice to receive gold?

But, shouldn't it be users who actually contribute the most to the community? Wouldn't it make sense for the member who is going to gift gold to search potential gold winners recent posts and comments on posts to determine if they are worthy of gold?

It would be nice to actually see more worthy gold members. Members who actually contribute to the community and are worthy of it can do more for this community with gold.

Just a thought/

You misunderstood the point of this post. I DO NOT want gold, I can afford it but I choose not to pay 5.97 for the things you get with it.

the reason they gift people who have alot of posts is because they have helped out alot more than people with less posts

True but not always. I've seen many people with 2,000 + posts spam the forums with posts that are off topic and insulting to the OP. This isn't always the case, it just seems that your 'status' on this site gets you more.

You mistaken Gold Premium for being some sort of award for being helpful. Gold Premium is just that. A membership. Not a symbol of being helpful or an award of some sort. As for people who get gifted gold. Why is it any of your business who gets gifted gold or not? You aren't gifting that person the gold. Its the gifters money and he decides who he wants to give it to. The mods or owners aren't the ones gifting it.
