Odds are you downloaded a crap virus scanner. It's a popular scam, they give you their rigged scanner that shows thousands of viruses, which promotes you to buy the full version. You buy it, scan, 'clean', and the 8,000 viruses are magically gone.
Try scanning with a scanner like avast! or another popular scanner.
