Hey,

I'm making a modding program, and have made great progress; a feature was suggested by a friend that I add a DVAR editor for Call of Duty games, or whatever - don't know if other games have DVARs - and I've been trying to load DVARs by loading settings with-in the GPD, but can't seem to access them.

This is only for a game save and not for J-Tag purpose.

Is there something I'm missing? Are the DVARs in the GPD, or..?

Thanks

As far as I'm aware, the dvars are all in the savegame files. You have to manually insert the dvars into the gpd.

I could be wrong though.

That would make sense, but I've managed to extract the user settings and found "TitleSpecific1", "TitleSpecific2" and "TitleSpecific3" but can't decrypt them; it's all very confusing, but I though they might have been inside the GPD, but I'll give the game save a go.

Thanks for your reply.

Nonoon..But yesyesyes, they are found in the default.xex and that's how people figure out about the dvars, but they are also in your gamesave file, and I didn't know it till now but since SPEED said something about the .GPD, apparently they are in the .GPD file too.

There are DVARs in some COD GPDs, but they're all the unfun ones like, setClassName, setClanName and stuff like that. Black Ops has these in there, but I don't think that MW3 does. You can obviously replace those stupid ones with more interesting ones if you want, but I think all that's patched now.

Do you have any starting points on how to read the GPDs? I'm managing to fetch everything from packages, apart from GPDs

Thanks for all your replies.

Aren't Default.xex's only available for a J-Tag? If not, I'm not seeing any on my Drive Explorer..?

Thanks
