Welcome to Zecs Megathread on how to make a good Graphics Shop.

This megathread which i have produced will tell you mainly everything to making a good shop in the graphic services ; Starting off with a shop banner.

Designing a Shop Banner:
Firstly you need to start off with making shop banners so your shop looks clean.To make a shop banner you need Photoshop (Definitely) CS6 is the best, and C4D R12 or R13 if you want to make cool 3d text etc.

How to make a shop banner:

The canvas size for shop banners is around 500px width x 200px height. To find the canvas size in Photoshop go to Image (at the top) then canvas size.

The size of the canvas should look like this:

*Remember Always save the Shop banner as a JPEG or a PNG file because it will not load as a PSD*.

Designing Sub Banners:
the sub banners are the banners which say Welcome, Rules, forums Etc. this look very professional in your shop because it shows you are organised and it shows a how much effort has been put in.

How to make a sub banner:
make sure the canvas size of the Sub banner is 350px width x 50px height.

*Again remember to save as a JPEG or PNG*

Adding a Relevant form:

Adding relevant forms to your shop shows and gives the customer what you have offer. So if i went onto your shop i know exactly what you do. Forms should be set out simple so it doesnt get too confusing for the customer.

It should look something like this:

Font:
Text:
Secondary Text:
Colour of background:
Any images (link if so):

Using good fonts:
Using good fonts is a key to having a good graphics shop becasue it doesn't make your shop look boring. Whereas if you have good font it makes it look professinal and unique to your shop.

The fonts to use are above where it says font type, but the best ones are below:

-Orator STD ( [font=Orator STD:1065dee59d]Example )
-comic Sans MS ( Example )
-Century Gothic ( Example )
-Agency FB ( [font=Agency FB:1065dee59d]Example )

How to upload your GFX:
When you check out some GFX shops they dont post work because they are ethier new or dont know how to. Well To upload your GFX to your Shop you need to convert your image to a Forum code. below will show you steps on how to do that.

Uploading GFX:
firstly you need to find a website that converts your GFX into forum codes. So here are some websites which i use.

-http://imageshack.us/
-http://tinypic.com/
-http://photobucket.com/

These websites will let you upload your images and automatically they will convert into images codes and direct-links etc. Tinypic is the fastest because you dont really need to log in.

Once you got the forum code it should look something like this with [IMG] and [/IMG]

( [IMG]THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT IT WOULD LOOK LIKE[/IMG] )

Adding your work:
When you add your work you want to make sure that the GFX are not taking up all the shop so to get round this solution you want to hide your work so when people unhide it they can see your work. When you add a hide button to your work (the little White square at the top when you are posting your shop) it saves so much room to add the rest of the shop. This makes your shop look nice and professionalized. Once you have clicked the hide button it should come up with something like this spoil. And that the end of what you have highlighted /spoil. (it will be in brackets)

Heres what the hide button does:

work will be here

How to add vouches to your shop:
Adding vouches to your shop show that you have got a good reputation of delivering GFX to people. I.e if you were to have vouches its shows you have an active shop, people like your work and it shows you help the community.

Here are some of the codes to add so they move up, down, left, and right.

[marq=down] [/marq]
[marq=up] [/marq]
[marq=left] [/marq]
[marq=right] [/marq]

To make the text move add this at the start marq=down then add this at the end of your text /marq in brackets.

Everything which is explained above is Mainly everything you need to know on how to set up a good Graphics shop. thanks for reading and hope this helped cheers.
