Shouldn't she just be kicked out of the honors program and the college level courses? Or even from the school itself? That's not right either, but really, arresting her?
It's only 1 day in jail. Even so, the girl obviously works hard and has a hard life. That $100 could've meant something. Now she has to work just a bit more to get that $100 back.
