What's your budget, OP?
Maximum budget would be about 60 GBP (Pounds) which is around $90
Save some cash and get the Koss KSC75 paired with a Zalman ZM-1 mic. You could also ante up and get the LEGENDARY Audio Technica AD700 + the ZM-1. AD700 is ~$110 USD.

I don't really mind about perfect performance, as long as its the right price, what would you recommend within the 80-90 USD budget?

That's actually the opposite of what you want to do. Gaming companies are to be avoided like the plague.

At that point, I'd say it's better to either save money or spend more. Your choice, the KSC75 is freaking great for gaming. It will surprise you.

Isn't that what you're recommending? The mic I'm recommending isn't on your head, either. It clips to the cable and sits on your chest.

When I search for KSC75, this is what I find:

I would actually prefer an actual headset that does go around my head, as oppose to a regular mic e.g. the original Xbox 360 mic.

That's the KSC75. They'll surprise you for sure. You could also get the JVC HARX700, which are also great for gamaing. Pair them with the ZM-1 as well.
