I came up with a theory a while back as towards the fact that Woods was indeed alive. In the next couple of missions, you go through various tasks with Reznov, but Reznov is a figment. Reznov has various moments where he appears to be Woods, and this is clear; but there are some interactions, towards the story that when "Reznov" kills a man with an AK74u, Mason then picks the weapon up. This couldn't have been a figment, because Mason holds the gun, and this part is true, making it obvious that Reznov is really Woods. Further down the line, Reznov is choking Steiner, and then it turns out to be Mason. What if Woods did in fact play as Reznov througout the story, and towards the end, Woods is the one that kills Steiner. Why Woods is in a some sort of asylum, why is he considered somewhat insane? I think that Woods played a much bigger part in Black Ops 1 than we thought.
