r00t_b33r told me to post here if I have any more questions about my build, and I have one last one.

I'm currently on the step where I install drivers and I'm watching some tutorials, but in one video the guy says to download the drivers from the manufacturer's websites, and on the other the guy says to simply insert the DVD that came with my motherboard and update the drivers from there, do I do both? If I do only one, which one do I do? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Personally I sort of do both, for the motherboard at least. I use the disk to get the LAN drivers so I can connect to the internet as well as the rest of them from the motherboard driver disk. I then update the ones that need updating. For the graphics card, I just download the latest drivers from their site.

Insert MOBO driver disc and install the LAN drivers from the disc and get the latest from the manufacturers website online.

r00t_b33r wrote Wait... So you didn't realize what this was before you posted? Did you even read the OP?

I included some great video tutorials and a link to iThorHD's thread that will help you understand the components and build process. It's easy and pays off, big time.

HP dm1z or a Lenovo Thinkpad X120e (or x130e) from the Lenovo outlet. To my knowledge, there just isn't anything else of quality at the price point. Specs are not everything.

A GTX 680 + 2500k ( $700 ) can run BF3 at 2560 x 1440p at max settings. It's stupid to spend thousands of dollars more than you need to. Sure, you could get the top tier parts now, but on the other hand you could spend half of your budget on a build now and the other half 2-3 years down the road and get better performance.
