TTG_Velocity wrote I guess my request was missed on page 116, I'll just repost here. I am buying the system in 2 days so sorry to repost.
Budget: Under 4k dollars
Moniter: Single Samsung SyncMaster B2430 (Already have one)
Games: Minecraft, BF3, Cod, etc. Would prefer GTX 690, but if there is anything better, I'll take it.
Software: Adobe Products, Visual C#, Visual C++, Autodesk products, etc.
Aesthetics: I don't really care. A little lighting would look nice.
Details: At least a 240 GB SSD. Doesn't need RAID.

I'm jealous because this build is so freaking awesome. It's super high-end, but not ridiculous at all. The two 670s will max anything on the 2560x1440 S-IPS monitor, the 2600K is a better choice than the 3770K not only because of price but because at higher overclocks it is faster, the Phanteks cooler will keep it cool with a high overclock and whisper quiet, the motherboard is all you could ever need, the PSU is 80+ Gold with awesome cables and plenty of wattage, the case is quiet and performs well while looking absolutely great, the Samsung 830 is stupid fast, I included a 2TB data drive, and you can read about the RAM and monitor in the topic. Both are industry secrets.

The only reason I would NOT recommend this RAM is if 8GB single sticks are required. For the time being, these max out at 4GB per stick. Although RAM speeds make almost no performance difference on Sandy and Ivy Bridge, APU systems benefit considerably from fast RAM. Even if the benefits are minimal, I still recommend these for ANY platform if only for their size, power usage, and looks.
These come at very mediocre speeds of 1600 MHz, a CAS latency of 11, a 1T command rate, and a voltage of 1.35. At stock voltages, you can easily set them to nice speeds like 1600 MHz CL9. You could be done there, but overclocking is free performance! I would talk about it in detail, but Techpowerup does a far better job that I could.

The Yamakasi Catleap, Crossover 27Q, Achieva Shimian, and a few others all use the super-high-quality S-IPS, 2560x1440, 27" made in Korea by LG. The A+ perfect units are used the Ultrasharps and iMacs, but the U2711 is $800, compared to the $310 you can get a Catleap for! Some "defects" include a few dead pixels (which can be minized by buying a "pixel perfect" listing, which guarantees 0-5 dead pixels and none in certain areas) and possibly some minor backlight bleeding. For more info on these monitors, there's plenty of info available on them here:

Another class act, this one. The 670 is way overkill for games, but GTA will stress it like it does everything. Honestly I'd step this down to a 560 Ti, but for the sake of making this balanced, I included the 670 and it's a good deal right now with the coupon. Up to you. The case is, in my opinion, the best one your money can buy right now within reason. There's nothing classier AND the R4 has a side window now. We have a winner! 8GB RAM that can be heavily overclocked and stays out of the way, a solid state drive, a 1TB storage drive, a PSU that will handle a second 670 should you decide to add one... That's pretty much it. Everything else you need to know is here:

I absolutely love the build so far, but have a few things in mind that I would like to change. The case, doesn't quite suit me, I just don't entirely like the design of it. The monitor is absolutely great, and will try to see if I can pick up 2 instead of just one since 2 might not be able to fit on my desk I'll also be picking up 2 HDD's instead of one, as a programmer, backing up code is one of the most important things to me haha. Do you really think that 2 gtx 670's are more powerful than one gtx 690? Just doesn't seem like it is. Everything else is fine, and plan to buy this system in just a few days. Thanks

There's a lot to be said for these, but if you want to know more about any of these or plan on buying one, shoot me a PM!
SOLID-STATE DRIVES
I wish I had something to say about these, but Sean Webster on OCN has compiled all the info you could ever need. You're better off listening to him than me because he's incredibly knowledgeable on the subject. He tests them, reviews them, writes about them, etc. He's an expert, and here are his threads.

These three entries are relevant to your build! Remember I can always alter anything if you want. It's your build, not mine.
Thanks

The extra ~$250 you pay for the 690 isn't worth the tiny performance difference, and this doesn't take any overclocking into account. Basically the 690 is an impractical card and should only be used if you need more power than 670s in SLI and can do SLI 690s. Tri-SLI with any card doesn't work well at all. You could go for the 690 if you want the extra VRAM, not that two 4GB 670s wouldn't still be a better deal.

You can go with any case, it's the part I can't really recommend, especially at this budget. I don't know what your tastes are, so I basically try to find the one I envision looking best. You could check out the Corsair 600T or something similar.

Nice sweet-spot build. The 7870 does BF3 extremely well and you'll get well over 60 FPS if you tone the settings down just a little and/or overclock. The 3570K is a champ and will blow through anything you throw at it.

If the case and motherboard have USB 3.0 headers, then you'll have USB 3.0 ports on the front panel. USB 3.0 is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 devices. The motherboard has an onboard NIC, so all you have to do is plug an Ethernet cable into the LAN port. I advise against using wireless with a desktop and you would need an adapter.
