A couple of dollars under budget but I couldn't spend the money towards a component that'd make any drastic performance difference. You could get an optional anti-static wrist band for $5 if you want to for a more safer installation.
The 6870 will blaze through the majority of games today at a 1080p resolution which the Acer monitor supports including COD and MC whilst recording.
Threw in a 750w HIVE series PSU and a MSI Z77 G43 so you're not stuck with what you get. You have a lot of upgrade options and top notch reliability.
The Zalman Z9 case has a nice smoked side window with 4 x 120mm fans with blue LED's on them as requested.

$1,862.89 + $40 worth of MIR.
There is no need to max out the budget if you don't have to ( even though this build is already overkill for any game at 1080p ).

It's the best parts you can right now besides the overpriced G19 that's a horrible buy and has a cheesy LCD screen. Basically, buy a CM Storm Pro ( Cherry MX browns with not overpowering back-lighting for half the price ).
Since you said you'd be using some rendering programs I threw in a 3770K just because.

Constant 77 FPS completely maxed out.

Everything will be supplied by your MOBO / PSU. Since you didn't list that you needed a KB + mouse, I assume you already have them.
You can get Windows 7 for free and then use Daz loader.

The KB has gotten some pretty good reviews and it's under $10 so you can't go wrong. The Xornet mouse is fantastic ( I own one ) and is great for users who have either a palm / claw grip.

****PC Build Request Form****
Budget & Currency: $1000 USD
Peripherals & Monitor: A 20 monitor at least. I would ask for mice, keyboards, etc., but I dont know too much about them, so just whatever is good and cheap. About 65% of the time spent on this PC will be spent gaming, but it will be used for school projects, Word, etc.
Games: TES5:Skyrim, BF3 , TF2, and others, but BF3 will be the most demanding.
Software: Whatever might be used to game. Don't know of many.
Aesthetics: Just a standard case is fine, but if you can make it look cool, please do.
Rebates/Promos: Sure.
Details: Whatever I might need for gaming.
Thanks

>>>>LAPTOP RECOMMENDATION REQUEST FORM<<<<
Budget & Currency: $800 USD
Screen Size: 13-14 inches.
Software: Microsoft office.
Details: Main purpose is for college. I do play games none of them are really demanding though. This is the best deal I can find right now. ( [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] )

Finally got back from yet another day out. Seems I actually have a bit of a social life contrary to popular belief.
