Can you make sure you're actually ready to order before posting, please? I've been "most likely ordering" countless times over a matter of years before recently. Same with others I've seen, turned out they were not actually ready.

Budget & Currency: 575$ US

Peripherals & Monitor: No Monitor, need keyboard and mouse. (USB preferably, nothing fancy)

Games: Guild Wars 2

Software: Photoshop, Sony Vegas, After Effects

Aesthetics: Does not matter.

Rebates/Promos: Please! (:

Details: I'm going to purchase it for editing, and the only game which will be played of course is guild wars 2 which was included. I would prefer it to be cheap, I don't need a monster, but something that would be good for editing. I can find a hard drive. I'm also not sure since I'll be doing basic editing if 8gb or 16gb of ram would be needed.

When: I have 450$ now, and I get paid again in two more weeks, so I want to go ahead and buy what I can.

Here's the deal, since you'll only be doing quote on quote basic editing, an i3-2100 should be fine and since it's quite a bit cheaper it'd give you room to fit in a discrete video card like a 7770 to run game(s) like Guild Wars 2. On the other hand, a 2500k is a complete champion in its range AND it'll handle rendering/editing even better but the downside is its more expensive and it won't leave room for a discrete video card right off the bat. Whatever route you deicide to go, it's going to be one hell of a build that is simply unbeatable for the price that you're paying.

An SSD is almost a must have, especially in a build where editing will be a priority. It's flash storage, has no moving parts, is small, and is insanely fast. Install your main O/S onto it ( assuming it's Windows 7 ) and a couple of your most used applications like your main web browser and a few editing suites so they'll open extremely fast and have almost zero slow down times.

I built the system on Newegg for the sake of convenience but Microcenter has the same CPU ( 2500k ) at a discounted price which is definitely something to take a look at.

The KB is connects via USB as desired. It's nothing fancy but it'll get the job done. The Xornet is the only mouse that I can recommend considering it blows away anything in its price range. I personally own and I find it works great for people who have a claw / palm grip and it does feel natural.

The 450w XfX PSU is a solid choice and can handle some beefy mid range cards and overclocks.

Chances are that'll you'll never use more than 8GB's of RAM at once unless you're doing something fancy...but even then, you could always throw in another set at a later date if need be.

I have a graphics card, a gts 240 I could put into it. It looks like a solid build, and would love the 2500k. I would love to pick up a SSD, but don't need one at the moment. If I could get rid of two of my xbox consoles I would have enough money and could get the entire thing.

Hey r00t_b33r I am customizing a PC on Cyberpowerpc.com and I need help choosing a motherboard. I am getting an i5 3570k processor but I might end up getting an i7. I have no idea what motherboard I need to go with those. I am also getting an nVidia graphics card (probably the Geforce 670 FTW Edition) but I dont know if that matters if you can please give me some advice on what to get I would really appreciate it and I will also +Rep. If you can PM me, it will just help me see it faster.

Yeah, I guess you could throw that in there. I have no idea if it'd be an actual upgrade when you compare it against the on board Intel HD graphics for example though.

Also, if you don't get an SSD right now and you decide to get one later on, you'd be able to do just that which is pretty awesome!

Are you sure that it is a good motherboard? I heard that ASUS and Gigabyte are the best but if the extreme4 is good I will get it. I dont know if it matters but I will be playing games, using microsoft office, maybe rendering videos, and watching videos on it.

I would not recommend it if it was not a good motherboard. MOBO's don't have any impact on gaming and or word documents. ASRock is Asus' sister company.
