Went 17.91 over the budget, but had to do it if you wanna keep that i5, if you don't then downgrade to i3-3120 and upgrade the GPU to the XFX 7850 FX-785A-ZNL4. If you want better rendering performance keep the i5 and don't upgrade to 7850, not saying the 6870 is bad, the 6870 is GREAT, performs 50FPS+ on BF3 High settings, but since you want to do rendering on this machine I would take the i5 and 6870.

Good luck

Aesthetics: Not fused on the case just a simple side windows if possible.

Rebates/Promos: No thanks

Details: Not fused on the finish also I don't plan to use hackintosh or any other raids.

When: I have the money so either going to order when you give me the part list

Thanks for this hope you can reply soon respect that its Christmas tomorrow

Edit:Might sound silly but could you recommend a good thermal paste? :S

I included all the peripherals (inc thermal paste, headset, mouse & keyboard) so went with full ~1000 pound budget.

120GB Corsair Force 3 SSD: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

NZXT Phantom 410: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Total: 936.38

If you want to save more money without affecting much performance, take out the phantom 410 and put an Enermax Ostrog (windowed white version) and remove the Corsair SSD. And get a cheaper headset that is still good (Plantronics 780) and you should save around 150 pounds with that)

Starting off with the XFX 550W PSU, great PSU, you won't need any more wattage even if this had a GTX 680. 8GB is fine for gaming, usage while playing BF3 is around 4.5GB - 5.5GB with a lot of applications open, the i5 3570k should be more than enough for a gaming/editing rig any day, and it won't bottleneck with any GPU. The Hyper 212 evo comes with it's own thermal paste, which is very good, but I included Silver 5 Thermal Compound which won't make much difference over the included one, but it's just 4 pounds and it will make it 1C - 2C cooler. The thermaltake knucker is a decent gaming keyboard, didn't go with brown switches since I don't want to extend the budget any more, but if you want brown switches go for it. The G400 is the best value and easily beats the Razer deathadder and others. I didn't want to go with a headset but you asked for it, the site didn't have the headset I wanted in stock so I went with the Vengeance 1500 which I heard they weren't bad. (I'd still go with headphones any day) The HD 7950 is slightly better than the 660 ti and it's much cheaper, and also comes with 3 awesome free games + 20% off MoH Warfighter.

Good luck!

Some of the links are to different items could you fix as I'm unsure which motherboard you recommended

Thanks im going to buy the parts to tomorrow but I'm nt sure on the case any idea on a black finish with aside windows ?

Thanks a lot

Went with an elegant look

Intel i5 3570k + Cooler Master CPU Cooler: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Razer Deathadder: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Total: 1028.91
Total after rebates: 1008.91

Starting off with the case, best case under $100 hands down with no doubt. Elegant looking, very well built for the price and noise dampening material and decent airflow. Case first look + unboxing below. The samsung snipoint F1 is a great HDD with decent speeds, the HD 7950 is the best value on a high end GPU (slightly better than 660 ti) and comes with 3 GREAT free games (Far Cry 3, Sleeping dogs and hitman absolution) with a total of $169 value just for the freebies. The Seasonic X series gold is an amazing PSU with great sleeving at an awesome price (89.99) and I would happily pay $140 for that unit. The Razer deathadder is not bad at all, but there is better for cheaper (Logitech G400) You should be fine with 8GB RAM since with BF3 (high ram usage game) it uses around 4.5GB - 5.5GB with around 15 background applications open. The asrock Z77 extreme4 is one of the best values under $150 and it makes no practical difference over motherboards that are under $200 such as Sabertooth Z77 (~$210) Included aftermarket CPU cooler for overclocking and found a combo deal with a better than average CPU cooler that easily competes with a water cooling unit such as H60 or H20 620..

****PC Build Request Form****

Budget & Currency: ~$1000

Peripherals & Monitor: None!

Games: Mostly BF3, CoD, Source games (tf2, l4d2, etc etc.), Skyrim, Metro 2033, and other various games. Also, maybe some games coming out in the future.

Software: Sony vegas 12, photoshop, vlc media player, itunes, Steam... (nothing too out of the ordinary)

Aesthetics: A black case with blue LEDs would be awesome. But if the budget doesn't allow for something so fancy, or you don't find one like that, then i'll settle for a plain black case.

Rebates/Promos: Normally I don't do MIRs, however if the part you think i need has a MIR, then i'll use it. Any promo is a good promo

Details: Took me long enough to get everything together that I needed. Anywho, I really just want a high end gaming pc. Obviously I want to be playing the games on Ultra. I also do plenty of browsing, so a fast computer is a priority. I have a dual monitor setup going on now. I would like for the new pc to have a GPU with two VGA/DVI ports, and one (or two if you can find it) HDMI ports. As far as the budget is concerned, i'm pretty set on 1k but if you have to go over a hundred or so for something important (like a GPU, processor, PSU [not to say that all parts aren't important in their own special way]) then I will be able to afford it. But, if you want to go less than 1k, without hindering performance, then I won't hate you for it;) Oh, I do plan on overclocking whatever I can (gpu, processor, etc).

EDIT: If the budget can handle it, i'd like the radeon 7970. If not, then work around it if you can.

I don't mean to undersell this whole thing. Clearly this is a huge investment and i really want something I am going to enjoy (I don't doubt your abilities or anything.. ) But seriously, just do what you do best. I trust you'll hook me up.

When: Friday or Saturday
