my iphone allways dies on around 30% i think the battery needs syncing or somthing if anyone has any ideas please comment below

Since 3gs iphones are pretty old i think you might have to get a new battery because that one might lose charge or not charge right causing it to die early.

I had the same issue.
All i can think that may solve this is....
Let the battery die out naturally
Leave it for a few hours
Give a good over night charge
After this don't charge longer than 2 hours at a time.

You after let it run absolutely dead even when it turns off you need to leave it a day or two
