If you enjoy playing with your friends just having a good time then you should get it.
I own it on both and I prefer it on xbox. I like all the features on PC but xbox is less laggy and plus its easier to get your friends on. I'd say buy it if you're a fan of Minecraft.

Well, I for one love minecraft! It can get boring if you play it non-stop for over 5 hours
-_- but you can do anything in it.
Do you normally enjoy sandbox games?
Are you patient? Because sometimes it can take a while to get used to minecraft, or take a while to get all the ingredients you need to make what you want.
I would say get it, but it depends on what kind of game you like.
Another good thing about minecraft is that you don't always have to play the same way, you can be really creative with what you make and what you do. Whether you want to build a mansion behind a waterfall, whether you want to make a house in the caves, it doesn't matter, because you can do it all!
Hope I helped a little, and if you do buy the game, HAVE FUN!
