Just don't add any files that might screw with your iPad and if you start to notic a difference. immediately remove it

Well I bought an iPhone 4 and every time I access iMessages it asked me for me for the old guys password. Is there anyway I can do my own. And delete that one

iMessages is off and when I try to turn it on it asked me for the password. There's only 2 options one is to turn on iMessages and word count so I don't know what to do. I can download apps and everything because I signed in into my apple I'd. It only askes my for his password when I try to turn on iMessages

So if I restore my iPhone through iTunes will it erase all my contacts and messages?
