i had to get the battery replaced recently, it worked but kept on restarting by itself and it now says to restore it but it wont restore on iTunes.

Enter Dfu mode then try to restore

Hi i just got a new ipod yesterday becuase myy old one got lost in the post. i tried jailbreaking it wiwth abstienthe 2.0.4 on ipod4g 5.1.1 and iti worked untill i tried restoring it to my old ipods backup and kno it mucked up.

this is some screen shots and you can obviously see that there are a ton of icons missing e.g. app store.

when i try restoring it on itunes it says error...

Try rebooting it, if you want, you can enter DFU mode then restore in iTunes and rejailbreak with absinthe 2.0.4 or red snow

tried rebooting. nothing happened

Turn device off, while plugged in to computer.

Then hold power button for 3 seconds,

Then ADD the home button for 10 seconds while holding the power button,

Then let go of the power button and keep holding the home Hutton until iTunes recognizes recovery mode,

Then restore

ummmm Update it to iOS 5.1.1 and jailbreak using absinthe v2.0.4
