Yes they will, they are developing new sizes of iMacs, they should be released within the next two years, if you need a bigger monitor for the time being, purchase a thunderbolt monitor or any other monitor that can take a mini-display port and just connect it up like that, then using mirroring.

If you want a high-end monitor, honestly, this and its similar equivalents are the only ones worth considering due to the gross overpricing of Apple, Dell, and HP's offerings. It uses the exact same LG S-IPS 2650 x 1440 panel used in the 27" iMac and Dell u2711. The u2711 is over $800, this is just over $300.

At the price of it, hopefully never.

The retina display is a nice feature, but they are building the entire device around it. Why would someone need such an amazing display on a laptop anyways? It's not like you'll be playing HD games or anything.

If you have any questions about this monitor or it's validity, just ask me or consult this thread:

Personally I'd get the Crossover 27Q, particularly the model with tempered glass and a swiveling design. The build quality is better and I like the design more, people say it's like a big tablet. It's a bit more, but the same exact panel. If you want to find any of these, just search Ebay. Here are all the Crossover listings, some with different options.
