i was looking into getting into graphics and im wondering what tools are best to use. im not a complete dumb ass and i know programming so i would hope it wont be that hard to figure out. any thoughts would help! thanks.

Firstly....your programming knowledges means nothing in graphics.

Get the tools

Photoshop
GIMP
Cinema 4D (or 3D creation equivalent)
Pen
Paper
Patience
Tutorials
