Hello TTG I am creator and head of PlasmaStudios, And me and my team are creating a game. The game is a zombie game called "Zombie Uprising" And we are trying to decide on an engine. We want to use BGE (Blender Game Engine) Or Unity3D Paid Version (We have the money) So what engine do you think PlasmaStudios Should Use?

More Game Info: At Release The game will NOT be story based it will be free roam based (Just mess around killing zombies, but it will have Challenges and everything at release!)
It will also not have multi-player at release but in later updates it will have both Multi-player and Story modes! It's kinda like the Dead Rising Series, But will be COMPLETELY different. More Game Info Will Be Released once we have our engine and get things going!

I'm moving your topic to the Technology Discussion section. Please be more careful as to where you create your topics.

Thanks

I have used Unity and it was great but I made the switch to Torque as the community support is simply amazing if you ever need help.

I've never used the Blender Game Engine, but I have used unity 3d and I like Unity 3D a lot. I could just never get a good map going on it because you have to know how to model and make textures, and well that's a lot of work for 1 person (Me) to do, especially because I suck at modeling. I got some free models off of turbosquid.com and imported them into 3ds max. (Which is free if your a student). Also in Unity 3D it helps to have knowledge of C# Programming and java I believe is the other.

Bottom Line - I like Unity 3D. I liked the live demo's they had on their website, it really showed the engine's true potential.

Well, if you wanted, i would use frostbyte 2 or Unreal Engine, that would be if you had the money. BUT, i would use BGE, it looks pretty solid
