I frequently play. Retail WoW is worth getting, but you'd need all expansions up to cataclysm to hit 85 i'm pretty sure. The easiest way to do that is by SoR (obviously). It isn't "hard" to level in WoW, it's very time consuming. Power leveling my Priest from 1-85 took me about 2 weeks , with 4 days of game time played. Like blizzard says, the game moves at your pace!
