It's probably your connection. How far are you away from your router or modem? A lot of factors can trigger you to lose connection. Say for instance your router is default, default everything. It's default channel would most likely be 1. Some routers have 12 channels they can be set to while others have more or less. Hypothetically speaking your neighbor also has a default router on the same channel. There would be an interference all the time both would fight over connection. Thus causing a loss in connection for you and your neighbor.
If your router is older say for instance 3-7 years old the signal over time will decrease. This picture will depict a normal or an average set up place for a(n) router. If the router is old enough or even far enough the signal can constantly be disrupted.

Another reason being every router unless you change the factory setting has a default limit to how many devices that can connect to the internet. If your over that limit which will most likely be 6 then every time a 7th device trys to connect the router, the router will reset the connections between all the devices and declines the new one attempting access.
If the signal is weak enough even a phone call can disrupt the signal to your connection from your router to your xbox.
I don't know if you have a wireless adapter connected to the back of your xbox so...?
Hopefully I helped you with your reasons on why this issue is being caused.
Now here's on how to fix this. Various solutions.
Option 1 being you can purchase a new router and or modem. For advice on which to pick for your budget send this guy a Pm. He will choose what's best for the amount of money you have.

Option 2 being you can log in to your router manually and change the settings, and channel.
Step 1: Go to your command prompt and type in: ipconfig what you will be looking for is the default gateway which is usually 192.168.1.1 but it can be different depending on where you live.

Once you have found what your default gateway is type that number into your search browser.

Now if you have a password and you don't know what it is ask your parents if they set it, or search online for the default username and password to your specific router.
Once you log into your router depending on what you have you. Change the channel to whatever works the best for you (Channel 11 or 10 is what my router is on) and change the maximum number of devices allowed to connect to your router. Every device that has internet capabilities that has connected to your router counts as a device so this includes Ipods, Iphones, Ipads, anything. To be safe set the number 3 or 4 above how many devices are in the house.
Say for instance a computer breaks it will always keep a hold of the Ip it was assigned, until you remove it manually from the routers memory.
If you have no password to log into your router set one and create a WEP2 or WPA2 but make sure you write down the password and reconnect every device back to the newly reconfigured router.
Hopefully I have helped you.
