If you have 2MB/s download I feel bad for you.
If you think it's running slower then usual go to speedtest.net to check your download speed.
If you are downloading a torrent check how many seeders there are (people sending you the file).

Depending on the server you are downloading from, it may take longer to download, due to connection and server load.
You may also have 2 megaBITS per second, not megaBYTES. 2 megabits per second is the equivalent to 0.25 megabytes a second, which is 256kb/s.
Don't feel bad, you could always have MY internet.
