Having your name in the corner is a reward? Like when people see your avatar who ever made that is amazing because you are using it?

Not really a reward, more like just showing who made it.
So people know.
My bad.

If you are going t hold a real contest, you need some sort of real prize. Rep means nothing, so I would suggest offering like $2 cash or something.

The competition is over a avatar. It's a 100x100 px. canvas. Its not worth any "real" prize.

Well just to add to what I said before, what is a competition with no prize?
It is like an ice cream sundae without any ice cream.
