So my Zephyr JTAG randomly got e79 the other day, but IT'S NOT FROM A BAD NAND FLASH. All that happened was that I installed some solder-less LEDs, then turned it on and deleted some profiles, turned it off to switch hard drives and then got e79...
So my question is, if I hold the sync button when I turn on the console, will it save it? What it does for retail boxes is remove the last failed system update. So if I do that on the JTAG, will it go back to my last nand flash, go back to pre-nxe, or go to a regular 9199 dash? Or will it simply not work? I saw on another forum that this can be used to repair a failed softmod, but I'm not sure if that applies to JTAGs or not...
Please help me out people, I just want a straightforward answer. I know that reflashing will work and so on, but I need to know if this particular trick will work.

I forgot to mention that our wiring is perfect I've checked every solder point myself several times its a beauty...
I mean it probably wouldn't work from a bad flash, but maybe in my case since its like a e79 on a retail console.
and what do you mean by it didnt work? Did it just turn into a regular 9199 dash or just nothing happened?
