SPEED wrote We're proud to announce some major changes at BukkitHost!
Previously, we were only a managed Minecraft host. Because of this, we weren't able to be as flexible with our prices as we wanted to be.
We recently realized that managed hosting isn't right for everyone, and by offering unmanaged hosting, we could offer our quality servers for a lower price!
So I'm proud to announce the roll out of our non-managed line of servers! I think you'll find our new prices very appealing!
You wont find these prices, combined with our level of support and quality, anywhere else!
I'd love to see you compare this to [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] .. just so people could tell the difference, since BeastNode seems to be the talk around the circle.

Trust SPEED.
He probably knows more about server hosting than anyone on TheTechGame.
When He says your getting your money's worth, you're getting your money's worth.
BukkitHost Compared to Other hosts is way better.
Cheaper, Great Support, and the offer Managed hosting.
What's not to love?

There isn't much comparing to do, to be honest. We do have a lot in common.
BeastNode is a very good company, and if someone absolutely refused to host their server with me, that's who I would advise them to go with.
There are a few differences though, so here they are.
Pros of BeastNode compared to BukkitHost:
-Servers have SSDs, but I personally don't believe Minecraft is I/O heavy enough to make a difference.
-Multiple locations. BukkitHost is located exclusively in Arizona.
-IRC and Forums where you can get support from non-staff.
-Free Mumble voice server
Cons of BeastNode, compared to BukkitHost:
-Servers have 100Mbps connections (iirc), so servers can be knocked completely offline by your average HackForums Booter.
-BeastNode is more expensive. Their packages are similar to our unmanaged services.
-No option for personalized support. If you can't get something working, your only option is to hope someone else on the forums or IRC can help you. Many of our customers have us added on Skype, so they can get instant support.
-Due to having SSDs in their servers, BeastNode has a 5GB limit, and charges you $1/GB if you need more space. Very problematic if you have multiple worlds.
I'm sure there are things that are being left out on both ends, but there's a basic comparison.

Edit: Just played on one of your managed servers and it was good but I'm sticking with Volt-host.com. gtws.

We just got done upgrading our server processors, which nearly doubles our power.
This will help server boot times, as well as preventing lag with high loads.

Believe me, any well established host isn't going to make that kind of offer. I would personally bet money that any host that offers 3GB for $15/mo(GBP $10) is either overloading their servers, or wont be around for more than a few months.
As it is, our prices beat almost every, if not every single host that isn't an "other" host in the minecraft forums.
