For your very first time i give it a 5/10 sorry but the background is really bright also try to blend colors and add some brushes or patterns.

Pick a good color scheme, if you don't know any then visit some paint websites. They normally have some good colors that rock together nicely.

Personally I'm good enough at graphic art to know good from bad color schemes and what to use where. It's just something you pick up, but once you pick it up you will see flaws in everyday things that will piss you off
