I have a hauppauge HD PVR 1212 from august of 2010 that has been used for about a year, how much do you think I can sell it for with all the original cables/software?

The scratches shouldn't matter it's just cosmetic stuff.

If it performs well I'd say $200

Just a rough guess

No one needs a HD PVR for it's looks, if it works like new, sell it as much as you've bought it for.

Well with all of the cables and software I'd say for a price, somewhere in the ballpark of around a 1 lb bag of brown rice soaked in raccoon urine. I'm deeply sorry to break the bad new to you.
