Warning:: This is long, and very stupid story about what happened. If you don't want to read the whole story, skip down to the spoiler and just click it to cut to the chase.

Whole Story (Interesting):
Okay, I know this may sound VERY stupid, but I just got home from a nice boat ride and since I got sand on my legs and arms, I decided to jump in my pool. So I went and I jumped in he pool - then I realized that my iphone was in my pocket. I immediately got out of the pool and ran inside to dry it off. I dried it off and tried to turn it on. It wouldn't budge. So then I decided to just let it dry, and now that is completed. It still won't turn on. It just sits there with that STUPID ASS black screen and I don't know what to do. I tried looking at "how to fix a water damaged iphone" and it came up with bullshit like "put it in rice container" or "pour nail polish remover on it". I don't want to mess my phone up so what kind of things can you do with this situation? Just thank you for reading this, and your time. Thank you.

No story, just the problem:
My iphone is submerged in water, and it doesn't want to turn on. And suggestions about what I should do? Thanks.

Haha funny story :p ! Anyway, try connecting to the dock charger, or try connecting to PC. That may work.

It's water damaged, I'm quite sure it's repairable.

Place it in a bag filled with dry rice. It might absorb the water. That sucks bro :whatthat:

you need to set it in a bag/bowl of dry white rice for up to 24 hours... the fact that you tried to turn it on might have short circuited it though
